The piece discusses how we took a derelict Victorian shell and transformed it into a striking lateral apartment. We were invited to write a piece in this high-end, luxury interior design magazine for the 'Designer Secrets' section. We chose to discuss the evolution of design and architecture within the home, giving insight into the new trend of open planned living. The piece looks internationally to where designers are drawing their inspirations from and offers detail on how the trend towards open, light filled homes creates a more functional space. We used images of our own projects to illustrate how a space must consider functionality while maintaining aesthetical beauty.
